Re-Routing My Timetable
I know, I know - its been almost a month since my last update. I'd like to claim that I've been incredibly busy with work, or that my social calendar has suddenly become a lot fuller than it used to be - but that would be lying. No, quite frankly I've just been spending too much time at the beach and sleeping. But, the good news is that I've managed to get re-motivated and started working on this again.
So, here's where we are at. First of all I decided that I wasn't going to be able to get around the problem of needing to purchase a router, so off to the hardware store I went and bought myself a nice new (cheap) GMC 1200W Half-Inch Variable Speed Router. Fancy name for one very cool power tool:
And here it is in action (and no that's not my arm, by the way - mine is much sexier looking):
For those who don't know what a router is, basically its a device which rotates a "router bit" at very high speeds, in order to cut out nifty shapes and curves from your piece of wood. Much like the following cuts I made today:
Depending on the router bit, you can make much fancier curves than just a straight semi-circle, and it's a good idea for adding that little bit extra to your woodwork.
So with a few moves of the router, combined with the control panel I already worked on earlier, I've now moved up to step 7 in the plans. And you thought I hadn't been doing anything!
